Expatriates living in UAE can bring their families to UAE via applying for a dependent visa under their own sponsorship. The process for applying for a dependent or sponsored visa is almost the same as applying for sponsor visa in UAE. The following is 6 step guide for the application process:

1. E – Channel File Registration

The first step is to open a file with Federal Authority for Citizenship (ICA).

2. Entry permit

Second step is to apply for an entry permit. An Entry permit is a temporary visa issued by the GDRFA which will be applied under the sponsorship of a family member living in UAE.

3. Change Status

Third step is to change the status of your UAE Visa from Entry Permit to Residence. This will also be done by an authorized typing center.

4. Medical Test

The medical examination is based on a chest X-ray and a blood test. The test will be carried out at one of the Designated Medical Test Centres. Please note that all resident expats must undergo medical test upon visa renewal too. You can avail our services for medical test process assistance and typing application.

5. Emirates ID

After your medical Test is carried out and approved, next step is to apply for an Emirates Identity Card.

6. Visa Stamping

Finally, for visa stamping process you need to visit Immigration Office with your Original Passport and Emirates ID where the representative will place a visa sticker on your Passport.
